Super-8 What is it?
Whenever you see stylish home movie footage from the 60s and 70s, the chances are it would
have been filmed on Super-8mm Cine film as this was the main medium used at the time.
At s8 films we use Vintage Super-8 cameras and original film stocks combined with
modern digital transfer techniques, giving your wedding film a truly Vintage flavour.
Why use Super-8 now?
Super 8 has the unmistakable “look and feel” of real movie film. The film stock manages to make
people and events look glamorous as well as being highly flattering —
which is why cine film is such a great medium for weddings.
What is Cinematic Video?
Cinematic Video is a style of filming heavily influenced by Cinematography techniques used in the
movies. Storytelling is told through the use of creative videography and expressionistic filming.
For us, your film is not just a wedding film, it is a piece of cinema and
we endeavor to make all parts of your day look as filmic as possible.
Where?
s8 films is based in London and Paris, this makes organising and shooting
Destination Wedding films much easier, however we do and are
able to travel to all parts of the world to capture your day for you.

Why have a wedding film?
Your wedding day, without a doubt, will fly by and you will be surprised by how little
of it you actually remember! By having your day captured on film you will
have the opportunity to experience all the key parts of your special day that were missed
or forgotten. The camera will catch moments you did not even know existed
and will be in places that you were not on the day. It's also one of the few times in your life
when all your friends and family will get together and having a Videographer on-board
makes sure that the memories of your fabulous day are preserved forever.

s8 films cover all types of events, whether your Wedding is a stylish Civil Partnership in a hotel, a lavish Jewish Wedding or a country house wedding, you can rest assured that s8 films will capture your celebrations in a very natural and spontaneous way creating an enduring record of your day that will captivate and entertain everyone.

Can the service be filmed?
This is not a problem as long as you get written agreement. We would set up our camera in a discreet position before the ceremony begins and an edit of your service would be incorporated into your final film. For the speeches we will provide for you an edit of the highlights appearing as
Will you be unobtrusive?
Definitely, we offer a discreet and professional service - still achieving great shots whilst keeping in the background. Our film crew will arrive well dressed and generally blend into the background. We are used to working with high profile clients and are happy to comply with special security issues and any privacy measures that are necessary.
I’m getting married abroad, can you still film my wedding?
Of course! s8 films has offices in London and Paris, this makes organising and shooting European Weddings much smoother, particularly those across France. However we are able to travel to all parts of the world to capture your day for you, naturally it will have an impact on costs, but this is always kept to a minimum.
How do I commission you to make my wedding film?
Just phone or email us to make further enquiries or to make a provisional booking. We can then discuss your ‘brief’ with you to work out which ‘Package' is right for you. Once we have penciled in a date we will ask for a deposit to secure your booking.
